Retrofitting to existing buildings for improved energy efficiency is technically possible but conditions vary in different regions in Europe. “Northern Europe” is spanning in north south direction equally long as the distance between Malmö and northern Tunisia. The challenge is to meet the varying climate for such a big area with one technical solution. The answer is modularity and moisture buffering materials.
TUM participated in the ISARC 2017 International congress, held from 28th of June to 1st of July in Taipei, Taiwan. ISARC has been organized by members of the International Association for Automation and Robotics in Construction (IAARC) to address the needs and concerns of a global community in all fields of construction, robotics and automation.
Tecnalia and TUM participated in the EESAP European congress, held from 5 to 7 July in San Sebastian, Spain. EESAP congress is about Energy Eficiency and sustainability in architecture and urban planning, and advanced construction.
